1. What is Morange?

Morange is an elegant and powerful mobile application that will ultimately unleash the potential of your mobile phone by bringing push email, blog, instant messaging (MSN, GTalk, Yahoo Messenger, QQ and Morange Chat), remote desktop access, push RSS, PIM synchronization together to create a breathtaking mobile experience. You may install it on any standard mobile phone, such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson.
You no longer need to waste loads of money on an advanced PDA phone, or a heavy laptop that is difficult to carry around. Just install Morange on your mobile phone now, and carry the whole world with you!

2. What kind of mobile phones can Morange be installed on?

Morange can be installed on all mobile phones that supports JAVA (MIDP2.0) or Windows Mobile platform.

(1) Mobile phones that support Java (MIDP2.0). For example:

3. How do I download, install Morange and register my Username?

We provide two ways to download Morange:

(1) You can visit wap.morange.com.gh on your mobile phone browser. This wap site will allow you to download morange phone client directly onto your phone. Install Morange and click "Register Now" on the main menu. Input your prefered username, password and mobile number. Choose the right connection type. Click on "Register". After your registration your registered acoount will be disabled. To activate the account type 'FREE' leave a space, type Username and SMS to short code 1970. For example Free Ama

(2) You may download Morange phone client on to your computer, transfer and install on your mobile phone through Bluetooth, infrared or cable.

(3) You may also text 'Download' to short code 1970. You will receive instructions to download and a WAP LINK that will download Morange phone client directly on to phone when you click on the link.

For convenience it is recommended to set a shortcut for starting Morange application.

4. Can I get a Free trial on Morange?

Every registered user has the opportunity to enjoy FREE trial period on Morange service (fully functional).

6. How to add contact on mobile client?

Morange contacts include Address Book contacts and Morange Friends. Contacts in Address Book can be imported from your local mobile phone address book, synchronized with Outlook desktop application, or entered manually. Besides, when you receive the first email sent by a new contact person, by replying the email, this new email contact will be stored automatically in your Address Book.

You and your friends can always be connected through Morange. They can be added either on our desktop client or mobile client. Here we will discuss how they can be added on mobile client.

You can SEARCH for potential friends among Morange users according to certain criteria, such as gender, age and online status. Choose the person you’d like to add and send a friend request. Once he/she accepts your request, the two of you will become Morange Friends.

If you know the Morange ID of your friend, you may just enter “chat” or “contacts” interface and select “add friends”. Key in your friend’s Morange ID, and select “ok”. Your friend will be added.

Remarks: You are not allowed to change your friends’ personal information. However, you are allowed to change your contacts’ information in the Address Book.

7. What is sharing in MoSpace?

Users can create shared folder in MoSpace. As the owner of the shared folder, you can share any specified folder with specified users. At the same time, you can also view the files shared by other users, but you are not allowed to modify or delete them.

8. What kind of email servers does Morange support?

Morange push email supports POP3/IMAP servers. Emails can be pushed to your mobile phone from any email server that supports POP3/IMAP. Thus corporate e-mails and free e-mails like yahoo and hotmail are supported

Please take note that:
For Gmail accounts, please enable their POP3 service on Google's gmail website(Go to the “settings” page to configure).

9. Am I able to view the full content in the pushed emails?

(1) In order to save data usage, every sent / received email will display the first 2K of its content.

(2) If you want to view the full content, please select “more” in the menu to proceed.

10. Why is it that I cannot login?

(1) Check whether your mobile Internet connection setting is correct.
 
(2) Check whether your mobile Internet connection setting corresponds to the “connection type” in Morange. It means if you have chosen a connection setting (such as CMWAP or M1 MiWorld) for the first time, you need to choose the same setting from then on.

If you need to reset the connection setting, please select “setting” from the main menu in Morange. Change the “connection type” accordingly and restart Morange.

(3) Check whether your mobile phone support MIDP 2.0

(4) This problem caused by small phone memory size. We recommend you to install Morange on the memory extension card. If the memory of your mobile phone is less than 512KB, it is difficult to run Morange properly. As a result, unpredictable consequences such as “unable to login" may occur.

11. How much will I pay for using Morange service?

For MTN subscribers Morange uses two short codes 1970 and 1971. Short code 1971 is used to extend Morange subscription and short code 1970 is used for all other operations with the exception of subscription. You may visit SMS Commands for more information on short code operations.

(2) Rate on Short code 1971 is GHC 3.00

For TIGO subscribers Morange uses one short codes 1970. TIGO subscribers after enjoying the free trial will atumatically be subscribed to the service. You may visit SMS Commands for more information on stopping, resubscribing and other short code operations.

12. How to subscribe? When to subscribe? What will happen if I do not subscribe?

In order to enjoy the Morange services, you can subscribe through a short code. If you are MTN subscriber, you can extend your subscription by texting SUB space Username to short code 1971 or 1972. You may visit SMS Commands for more information on short code operations.

If you are TIGO subscriber, you do not need to do anything after enjoying your free subscription. Your subscription will automatically be extened for you. But if you stopped the subscription you can resubscribe by texting SUB space Username to short code 1970. You may visit SMS Commands for more information on short code operations.
